With breast cancer being the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK, and 1 in 8 women developing the disease at some point in their lifetime, our annual campaign strives to help continue saving lives and changing futures
Fashion Targets Breast Cancer (FTBC) was set up in 1994 by Ralph Lauren who lost his close friend to the disease. He called upon the fashion industry to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer charities across the globe.
Launched in the UK in 1996 by Breakthrough Breast Cancer, FTBC now celebrates its 15th year and has been heralded as the most fashionable Charity campaign in the UK. With the iconic t-shirt gracing most women’s wardrobes.
The campaign is fortunate enough to have received support of some of the world’s most famous fashion industry icons including photographers such as Mario Testino, David Bailey and Ellen Von Unwerth. Models & famous faces including Kylie Minigue, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Kate Moss, Sienna Miller and Twiggy have all very generously supported the campaign.
To date the campaign has raised over £11.5m in the UK alone through the sale of the famous target t-shirts and other merchandise which our loyal and High Street retailer favourites have been selling for us.
M&S, River Island, Warehouse, Topshop, Coast, Laura Ashley, Bottlegreen and My-wardrobe.com all help Fashion Targets Breast Cancer in the UK to raise vital funds for Breakthrough Breast Cancer and we are extremely grateful for their continued support.
