Our story

Every day, around 150 people in the UK hear the words ‘it’s breast cancer’ and every month the disease takes the lives of nearly 1,000 people. That’s one every 45 minutes.

We know that it’s going to take all of us to end breast cancer. As it affects all of us. So, for this year’s campaign we are asking our supporters to get together and take action with their #BosomBuddies.

Because when it comes to stopping breast cancer in its tracks, we know we’re stronger together.

The money you raise by dressing in solidarity will help Breast Cancer Now to achieve their vision. That if we all act now, by 2050, everyone who develops breast cancer will live – and live well.

Our history

Founded by fashion royalty, Ralph Lauren, Fashion Targets Breast Cancer has one simple mission: stop breast cancer taking lives.

Over 20 years ago, I lost a good friend to breast cancer. I promised her that I would do my best to fight the disease that eventually took her life. And I have. My vision for Fashion Targets Breast Cancer was to unite the world of fashion as a force against this devastating disease.

Since 1996 Fashion Targets Breast Cancer has raised over £16 million for breast cancer research.

Take a look at some of our iconic campaigns and previous partners.

We’ve had lots of famous faces join us since Fashion Targets Breast Cancer was launched in 1996. Kylie Minogue joined us in 2010.
